Beyond the North Woods features a band of hikers who find themselves deep inside a forest that is renowned for its chilling legends and mysterious unsolved cases as the audience hears more and more spine-tingling stories about them. However, as they proceed farther into the woods, peculiar occurrences start to take place and they comprehend that they are not by themselves. The film has a combination of suspense and horror as it depicts the loneliness in nature and supernatural aspects which create a thrilling experience as the secrets of the forest are revealed bit by bit.

Effective atmospheric tension is created considering the creepy dense forest due to its ominous presence which is the main feature of the horror film.
The story also manages quite well due to the strong role of the character relations coupled with the acting, you feel interested in their fate.
The film highly excels in cinematic storytelling, the visuals are sufficient enough to show fear without using Too Much jump scares.
Negative Aspects:
In the end, this leaves them with a lot of questions due to the level of the supernatural being introduced and hardly getting adequate explanations.
The tempo, especially in the first act can be slightly annoying because it slowly gets into the center of what exactly the horror is.
