Frankie Freako

Frankie Freako

Movie Info:

Frankie Freako is the tale of crazy, obnoxious businessman who takes exceptionally wild approaches when conducting business, making him entertaining but versatile. Out of the chaos forged from outlandish inventions and causing trouble, the audience learns a new dimension about life – it makes sense that the protagonist has no reason to be sane when he becomes the centre of viral commotion due to his latest, and ill-fated invention. The comedy itself pokes fun at the modern image of an entrepreneur, exaggerating every aspect because that is what today’s society is all about.

Cast:

Sacha Baron Cohen as Frankie.

Kristen Wiig as Frankie’s wife and business partner.

Ken Jeong as a competitive entrepreneur whom Frankie cannot cope with.

Positive Aspects:

Sacha Baron Cohen portrays a totally chaotic character and does excellent with his comedic timing.

The focus of the film’s message regarding the incessant race of modern day entrepreneurs does more than sufficient justice to the art of storytelling.

Ken Jeong sticks to the comical auras perfectly. As Jeong isn’t new to the idea of being funny, every single key aspect of the character contributes to the whole idea of the plot.

Negative Aspects:

Despite having numerous spin offs, not everyone appreciates slapstick humour as this film has a bear minimum of spoken humour.

The movie pushes more than a few boundaries of what is believable while in principle a comedy film. This, however, is not something everyone will appreciate.
