Miles, a socially awkward programmer, finds himself thrust into the world of criminals after a violent outburst in a popular online game. He wakes up to find guns bolted to his hands and becomes the latest contestant in Skizm, a deadly real-life deathmatch livestreamed for millions. Forced to fight for his life, Miles is paired with Nix, a battle-hardened assassin. As they fight their way through increasingly dangerous opponents, Miles must overcome his cowardice and learn to use his weapons. The story is a dark comedy filled with action and violence, with a satirical commentary on online gaming culture and voyeurism.
