Shadow of Fire offers audiences a well-deserved respite from all the generic films that pass undetected through cinemas. This story follows a fantasy world where an evil force stirs after centuries of being dormant and a young warrior must rise and team up with his people to defeat it. As the forces of evil start to swarm and threaten the kingdom, the movie combines elements of epic fantasy and slow-motion action sequences in order to create a story about heroism, loss, and fate.
Cast:
Taron Egerton – A modern member of the Chosen one, who oppressed the evil force centuries ago.
Gwendoline Christie – The queen who commands her troops
Mark Strong – Voice of the evil force
Positive Aspects:
Well Thought Out World. Fantasy worlds including, their costumes and creatures are particularly well thought out.
Awesome Battle Scenes. This is definitely aided by the Visuals and the choreography.
Taron Egerton. No doubt, Taron Egerton is the leading actor, he does very well in portraying the roles of a hero and someone who is not as strong as he appears.
Negative Aspects:
The script lacks some originality, drawing on several familiar classic fantasy themes and seldom adding anything new to the plot.
Mid-Act Some pacing dilemmas do exist, but those issues in the film do not take away from all of the enjoyment.
