In a post-apocalyptic era where injustice prevails, the so-called ‘The Shadow Strays’ takes it upon themselves to restore the lost order and in the process reveal some harsh realities of their world. However, as the dregs resort to exposing conspiracies pertaining to the powerful institutions and the ruling elite, it further compels the four central leads to fight some internal as well as the external conflicts that seem to be the harrowing reality for the group.
Cast:
Oscar Isaac
Jessica Chastain
David Dastmalchian
Positive Aspects:
The film’s greatest strength is its tone and style which is pretty dark and brooding – ideal for the audiences of neo-noir and dystopian thrillers.
Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain deliver some pretty great performances as doubtful heroes.
Stylish action scenes and cinematography seems enough to keep the audience hooked.
Negative Aspects:
The story can be easy to lose track of because of the multiple sub and plot twists that are almost too many in number.
The Shadow Strays may not be everyone’s cup of tea as its portrayal is quite gore-based and emotional aspects are less to cover the wide range of its negativity.
