Positive Aspects:

Strong Lead Performance: Actress Jessica Chastain has always been adored for her ferociously striking performances, and – Trigger Warning left no exception as it required Chastain to be playing the character of Olivia Moore in a very multi-dimensional way. This aspect of her character – a soldier who become a helpless patient with PTSD – is promising to be haunting and emotional.

Complex Themes: Most of these films attempt to highlight relevant problems including the effects of war on the psyche, punishment and its justification, and the effects of violence on one’s self. Such themes of the films give them so much depths emotionally that it is not just another action packed thriller film.

Taut Suspense: As for Trigger Warning, tension is built from the onset, which is quite commendable. Momentum shifts at this point as the film becomes a fast paced, gripping thriller interspersed with moral twists and turns and plot twists. Olivia is now in action after discovering the conspiracy.

Visually Impressive: The film employs an almost surrealistic and chilling transition which starkly depicts the thoughts of Olivia when she is still in turmoil. The camera work will give rise to an environment that will be effective in simulating her psychological breakdown.

Negative Aspects:

Heavy Topics Can Be Disruptive For Actions: It should be acknowledged, that the center of drama hinges on trauma and mental issues, thus at times such themes may seem too extreme or too unbearable to some audience. The symptoms of PTSD, its follow up and it compleyions could be too disturbing for people who do not want to see this.

Predictability in Certain Spoiler Points: The revenge-thriller genre comes with its intricacies and cliché aspects that are almost predictable. Unlike the Trigger Warning, which would probably have quite a number of surprises, the central storyline of an individual on a quest to avenge the injustices done on them, will seem bland for the genre enthusiasts.

Pacing Issues: The movie’s gripping psychological essence is entirely above all things action, and as a result, might hinder one’s appreciation of some sequences which in part might feel like more of a slow-paced drama than high-octane thrills. It is highly likely that due to the nature of the film, a lot of fans could become frustrated due to inconsistencies in, or lack of, action.

Potential Overreliance on Dark Tone: The unexplained very gloomy or tensed nature of the movie may put off most of the audiences who expect entertaining drama elements to balance the suffering tone. The storyline indeed deserves seriousness, but it can also do with some fun or optimistic parts.

Last words: Trigger Warning is also an effective thriller that will be followed up with emotional impact and intriguing images as it tells about trauma in a contemporary antagonist revenge plot. While featuring Jessica Chastain as the lead with a gripping plot, the movie is likely to make an impression on all who witness it. However, its dark aspect might not be for all audiences, and due to its nature, this title may have to deal with the pacing issues where it tries to retain its psychological aspects, while at the same time is not along the same lines as a novel.
